Hey everyone! I'm new to the site and very happy to be a part of it.

I live in Valdese, NC and It's my first year bowhunting turkey. So I'm kinda looking to see if there are any members here that live near by and would like to partner up and get some gobblers.

I have also put in for a permit at Johns River so if you would like to join (if i'm drawn) I can give you my party number.

Thanks for taking a look at this post...Good luck to everyone this year!!

Welcome to the site!! Always good to see some more NC boys around here. I knew some people from Valdese at one time...last name Greenwood.

I wasn't entirely sure of where you are located, but it looks like quite the area!
I know I will probably be heading out towards Uwharrie. May be taking a Monday Tuesday off from work. That way I can get there on Satuday, Off road/scout on Sunday, and Hunt Mon. Tues.
Lest anyone has a better idea. I know the numbers that have come out of this state in the past years are nothing short of dim. For the number of hunters, to the number taken, it seems that public land is near impossible for success. :\

LMK if anyone is interested. It would be cool to have company. lol.

Well I have now locked down 2 private areas to take some gobblers. Anyone that is going to be close by during the season let me know. Also if you are going to be in the area I have 2 more spots in my party for a permit only hunt at Johns River. It will only cost $5 to join the party and the more people in the party the better chance to be picked in the lottery. So just PM me!!
