awhile back somebody posted a thread talking about law changes coming into effect in north carolina. well they did it they approved bowhunting on private land on sundays. they made crossbows legal. they extended the season til jan.1st they gave muzzleloaders an extra week they finally came to thier senses.
Sounds great! well, except the crossbow part. I really wish our season lasted past the end of November, but we just do not have the population to support it.
i live in both stuart,va and mt.airy nc va is alright w/ me hell if you own your property or are kin you dont need a license to hunt just observe the rules and regs and you are ok but sunday hunying does sound good
In louisiana you can bow hunt from oct.1 to jan 31 7 days a week .Taking first 15 day off in oct. doing same for november and december.
I enjoy being able to bowhunt from 2nd Saturday in September to January 1st here in SE NC. Sunday will give hunters another day to be in the woods. For me, when the time changes the only day I get to hunt is Saturday unless I take off from work early. So that is likely how I will now spend some of my Sunday afternoons!!
Wow, I didn't realize there were so many strange laws out there. Especially the no hunting on Sunday. Here is Missouri, we can bow hunt from Sept. 15th through Jan. 15th. During Rifle season, if you take a deer, you have to use the Rifle tag even if you take it with your bow
I was very excited to see this happen, especially the Sunday hunting part. The local outdoor sporting goods shop near me has sold over 100 crossbows since last week. It has been very good for their business to say the least. Dan, in NC we have a "big game report card." It includes 2 wild boar(excluding feral pigs which are hunting with no regulation), 2 turkeys, 1 bear, 2 antlerless deer, 2 antlered deer, and 2 hunters choice deer of either sex. Deer tags can be filled with any legal weapon that is in season.
