I have not cared about the NBA for probably 10 years but I just have to ask these questions because it strikes me as so preposterous. If a coach/player publicly voices displeasure with the call so what? How insecure is David Stearn? Get over yourself and take some criticism like a man. Someone tell me what I am missing.
I happen to agree with this one. First thing I teach with my kids in sports is don't be a bad sport. Don't go whining, crying and blaming the refs/umps about everything. Save your temper tantrums for when you get home and not on display making yourself look bad. I think it goes along with the overall "image" haha of what they are trying to do. And most importantly theres not a thing possitive that can come out of it except hearing yourself whine. In the history of sports not one single call has every been reversed due to an atlete or coach crying.
It also doesnt set a good example for anyone, since nothing comes out of it. And it only riles the people up.
