Related to scent use, I started using ever calm last year and felt confident in it. Also used their vs-1 for the rut. Did not have any deer walking right to my stand a however, also did not get winded. I plan on trying the combo again this year.

Outside of those scents, I try to use a lot of natural scents found where I hunt. Before I approach the last 1/2 mile to my stand, I scrape my boots into the ground to tear into fresh dirt. I grab handfuls of dirt and leaves and rub them on my pants and jacket. I also break small branches of pine and rub them into my outer wear. Many times, I will stuff some ripped up pine branches onto my back pack and on my tree stand.

I was curious if others do the same or I'm a loner?

I used the same. The evercalm worked good for me, on a few occasions I had does wandering around my stand looking for the bedded down deer. The vs-1 didn't do a dam thing, (as far as I know) in Illinois or RI
