How's your team doing today on National Signing Day? Better than expected? Terrible? Has your school's coaching staff let you down yet again? UF and Muschamp are going to bring in a very, very good class, especially on defense. Dante Fowler Jr. ditched FSU to come to UF this morning, which is a huge pick up. The Gators lost Tracy Howard to Miami, but his father his sick and he wanted to stay closer to home. Still a couple prospects left on the board the Gators are waiting to hear from, but if even if they get half of those guys, this will be a very good first class for Muschamp.
OU has signed a pretty good class so far today. By far the best reciever class in the nation! CAn't wait to watch these guys play.
LSU's class is disappointing. When the 3 top rated players go out of state (2 to Bama), something is wrong. Ever since the MNC game, nothing but negative news has surrounded LSU. I guess that is what happens when you get absolutely embarrassed on a national stage.
Wisco's class looks pretty good. Here is what I know so far copied and pasted from an other site. Hope for more info later today. As is typical, a few guys from Wisconsin but mostly we have to find good players from other parts of the country as our in state HS football talent sucks a$$. Voltz (IL): Alabama, the entire Big Ten, Notre Dame, Auburn, Stanford Biegel (WI): Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, BYU, Minnesota, Illinois, Stanford, Tennessee Houston (CA): Arizona, Iowa, Washington, UCLA, Colorado Singleton (NJ): Nebraska, Michigan, MSU, Miami, Illinois, UConn, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Purdue, Minnesota Jackson (WI): Illinois, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Minnesota Meador (IN): Florida, Missouri, Mississippi, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Vanderbilt Williams (WA): Washington, Colorado, UCLA, Oregon State, Utah Goldberg (PA): Pittsburgh, Cinci, UConn, Syracuse, WVU, Indiana Etienne (FL): WVU, Kansas, Wake Forest Love (FL): Boston College, UCF Musso (WI): Pittsburgh Mitchell (PA): None reported, early commit.
Kwon Alexander had to be a surprising pick up though, no? I've heard of a lot of smoke at the LSU camp here recently. Losing Gunner Kiel, not playing Matt Flynn in the MNC when Jefferson was playing terribly, Russell Shepard not getting any playing time, etc. What's the word?
No doubt. The one bright spot so far this month and today. But losing the #1 safety in the country (Landon Collins) to Bama, Kiel decommiting the day before he was supposed to enroll, and now one of the top rated DE in the country just switched to Texas after telling the LSU coaches that he was all LSU last night. And yeah, after the MNC several players were talking about transferring, and we had a couple that declared for the NLF draft that were not expected. Shepard talked about going to the NFL, but he is staying now. It's just been a bad month for LSU football.
Notre Dame took an unexpected hit losing Deontay Greenberry (WR)and Ronald Darby (CB)(4.37 - 40 yard dash). Not that it matters, that program won't be in the national picture for a long time (if ever).
Yep, don't think he will be playing football anytime soon. http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/291186/20120201/national-signing-day-rodger-lewis-rape.htm
Wide Receiver U is back in Tennessee. I'd argue that Tenn WR class is at least on par with OUs class. Patterson was a huge signing day get for the Vols.
yeah, I don't get that at all. He would have had immediate playing at LSU. He would have been our big WR without any real competition. UT already has Rogers and Hunter. Screw today.
Doesn't this kid pay attention? You have to be in the pros before you can start raping people and get away with it. Kids these days...they never listen.
Not too bad for the Vols. Good WRs and DLs in this class. Losing a couple of LBs commits earlier in the week hurt though.
Woods, Shepard, metoyer, Gardner, and Neal? Tenn has a good class coming in but I don't think it's close to OU. We will see in the coming years I guess.
I'd love for UF to get a couple receivers. The Gators haven't been able to land a big name wide out since Percy Harvin. I mean, these recruits do know Johnny Brantley won't be throwing the passes anymore right?
Not saying OU didnt have a good WR haul, just saying Patterson, Howard, Croom and Bowels, ranking wise, are on par. Patterson being the icing on the cake. Patterson, the #1 JUCO WR, should contribute next year, making the passing game at UT very interesting.
