Yes, his star recruit was supposed to sign today, Alex Collins a RB from Florida. Well, the mom ran off with the letter of intent, and now the family says they need some more time. I think the kid ends up there, but just not yet. It is funny though, his mom cannot be found with his LOI...

Hey Buckeye, Von Bell is a stud, and I really wanted him at Bama. I think he is as close to a sure thing as there is...

Urban Meyer and staff recruited coast to coast, signing 24 players from 11 states -including some heavy hitters from SEC country and Texas.... a stable full of absolute thoroughbreds... a #2 (arguably #1) class, coming in on the heals of a #3 class and a 12-0 season. Nervous yet??

Bama, take the punter and keep the change. We won't be needing him... a fair trade for Vonn Bell

Not a fan of any major programs, so this is what I get excited about. University of South Dakota got a 3 star prospect this year! On top of that, South Dakota State University had a worse class than us!

Thanks Eddie George, I always thought he was a class act

Rankings are nice, but what is more important is getting players that fit your team. I like what Hoke did again this year, second year in a row a top 5 class. Michigan finally has two RB with some size and speed. We should start seeing some bigger wideouts play. We have not recruited a WR under 6' 2'' since Hoke and company took over.

If he keeps helping us get top 5 backs, I can live with that.

You can't honestly be talking crap to the team who has won 3 of last 4 national championships and ALSO hauled in the best recruiting class yet again this year. Id love to see the argument for Oh St having a number 1 or even number 2 class for that matter.

I really do hope Bama and the Buckeyes get to play this upcoming season.

I always talk crap about those cheaters from the SEC. I will say Urban is building a team around his skilled players, he only took two OL this year. That's how the spread works, you build your teams from the outside in. Michigan and bama build from the inside out. Interesting to watch for sure.

They were talking on Mike and Mike yesterday. Golick said that he had talked to a PAC 10 coach. The coach simply stated, "If we find out the SEC is trying to recruit the same player we want... we just give up. We can't PAY what they do". LOL

Easiest way to justify one's inadequacies is to accuse those excelling of cheating. Happens in every facet of life yet we as fans can't see right through it in sports for some reason.

That's equivalent to me saying I could kill as many big bucks as Buckeye and Shed if I was simply willing to go to the lengths of poaching they do. I mean let's be honest with ourselves, no one is THAT good at deer hunting.

Why must it always be a $100 handshake attracting these high schoolers? Why isn't it the continued dominance and fast track to the NFL first round and huge money? As a high profile recruit, why would you NOT want to play for Bama or one of the other SEC schools?

Do fringe benefits happen outside of the team's control such as the Ohio St fiasco a few years back? Yes, everywhere....and that is a certified fact. So long as the team doesn't promote it or turn a blind eye to it, it's an inevitable truth that slips through in sports...It doesn't have to be the cop out that dictates sports though as most of you northerners try to make it.

My problem with the SEC is the bat $hit craziness of their fans. They are literally obsessed to an unhealthy level. One of the causes of this is too money is donated to the school to be earmarked to athletic facilities rather than research or academics.

Let's face it. Would the average SEC fan rather give money to the engineering department or the weight lifting room?

When OSU beat us this year in football I did not go poison some buckeye trees.

The fan base is so desperate to win, they will and do cheat. When any fan base gets that way, cheating happens.

How they hid what AU paid cam newton is beyond me. It happens everywhere, what do you think the fab 5 deal was about. It was the fan base that fed into the hype, and cheated.

A few dudes on bowhunting.com say something and it means most Northeners feel the same way huh?

I know why the Southern teams are better...it's not rocket science...there are more talented athletes in the South than there are in the North...most of them are going to play somewhere more local rather than head up North...this isn't complicated

Due to their obsessed levels, their highschool football "Farm" system is one of a kind.

Why is that SEC specific. 99% of the population ANYWHERE in the country would rather donate to the football program than the engineering program.

Me personally, I'd rather donate to neither. Athletic donations dominate academic donations everywhere in the country...from Wisconsin to California all the way down to Florida.

As for criminal acts by fans, it happens. To stereotype an entire region of the country or conference of schools for one guys delusional actions is a bit harsh.

Southerners seem to approach their College Football the way Northerners approach the NFL.
