NASA why ?

Since the country is so broke why are we spending money like the shuttle lift off today.

Talk about a waste of tax dollars.

Yeah, we should just let the Chinese rule space... they only have good intentions

The off shoot technology from our space programs have huge benefits, that alone is worth it.

check, got that - but you have to defend the nation... there is a ton of crap in our budget that will get paid for that is much less important then the space program.

 

since we are broke, might as well get rid of the military too right?

 

Nasa is a huge glut, I have to admit. But without NASA, and defense, we would have never ushered in the silicon age. You would have never seen the internet. Would never have had the smart phone.

Guess we can thank russia and thier cold war for that one. No joke.

Its a socialist program that sorta does benefit us all in secondary effects.
