Okay so I narrowed my broadheads this year down to three. Nap Spitfire, NAP Killzone, and Rage Chisel Tip 2 blade. They will all be in 125 grains just because that's what I prefer. Any suggestions on which I should get? Any problems with any of them? Thanks for any help you can offer!

I killed my doe with the 3 blade chisel tip. It did a tremendous amount of damage. Put holes on both sides of her and she ran about 60 yards before expiring. Blood trail was awesome- extremely wide and easy to follow. I wish I took pics of it. From my experience with it, I highly reccomend that head. That being said, I have no experience with the other broadheads so I can't compare them. Good luck, let us know what you choose.

I don't use any of these, but I am curious about your experience with these. It seems like people stick with whatever has worked for them in the past, but I love experimenting with new archery stuff. I have been using G5 T3's, amd love them...but I'd love to hear whynyou have narrowed itmdown to these.
Also, why preference with 125 vs 100 grains?

I honestly have no reason for preferring 125 over 100 grain. I just like the added weight to the front, it helps with FOC some, and it seems to quieted my bow a little and just seem to fly better for me. Other then that I have no reason. I used to only shoot 100 grain but I switched last year and haven't had a reason to switch back.

Thanks for the reply! Did you have any problems with the 3 blade? When the Rages first came out I head a lot of people saying the blades would hang up on the 3 blades, never shot one before so I have no experience with them. I have seen deer shot with the original 2 blade Rage and it done exactly what they were supposed to do and had good holes on both sides of the deer. Any reason to choose the 3 blade over the 2 blade version? Thanks again

I picked the 3 blade because I thought it might fly better with the lower profile. Knowing what I know now I highly doubt this is the case haha. They fly perfect. I had no problems with them- the blades didnt bend on impact and I can use the head agian. I honestly don't think it matters wheather you go with the 2 blade or 3 blade- they will both get the job done. Just personal preference I guess. And no problem! Thats what this forum is for!

i use the regular rage heads, becuase i always have some left over, might switch for this year though.

as for yhe 100 vs 125, the 125 heads helped quote my bow down a lot. and they hit hard as a small car at 70lbs

I dropped my first doe with the killzone last year. I didnt make a great shot but it put her down on the spot. Its a very solid head and a lot of guys had great results with it last year. I may use it again this fall but as of right now I will be shooting the Hellrazor due to the fact that I made a huge jump in arrow weight and I want the best possible penetration with my set up and the killzone would take some of that away.

I love the Rage 100 grain 2 blades. I have shoot 6 deer with them and the farthest one has ran was 100 yards, and the shoot on her was a little back. I believe the 2" cut on that deer made all the difference in the world. For those that say rage is horrible against bone, I shot a 9 last year at 41 yards quartering away. The arrow went in right in front of the back ham and went through the opposite shoulder. My buddy shoot 2 deer with the Killzones last year. Found one and lost the other one, but the broad head did not hold up on either occasion. The spitfire is awesome the only problem I see with them are they are not rear deploying, which hurts your kinetic energy even more than a rear deploying mechanical.

Why do you like the Killzone out of the other 3? I just would like to know so it can help me narrow down my choices?

im using the killzone currently. good design. shot a doe last year and she didnt go far. always like rage. 2 and 3 blade. killed lots of deer with them. testing, 2 blade penetrate better.

been hearing some thing about killzone penetration not beeing that good so im trying to read up on it now. the one doe I shot last year was a pass through. ill have to shoot some more deer this year just for testing purposes ;) I slacked off last year, wont happen again :-)

The Killzone is the least fail-proof honestly. No springs or many other mechanisms which leads to less of a chance of mechanical failure. Good luck.

I switched from rages (2 blade) to spitfires last season. I just had too many problems with the rages. very impressed with the spitfires, shot several deer with them last year and they did some serious damage. Shot one good buck with a rage chisel tip and couldnt find him...ive lost several deer with the rage over the last few years.
