Here's my next question for all you techies... :D ...NAP Qick Fletching... Who has tried them? Do you recommend them or no? Why/why not? Also, at $24 per 6 count, how would this compare to my taking bare shafts in and having them fletched by the local pro shop? (Unless there's a good and valid argument, I have Quick Spins in mind)
I used to go with the Quik Fletches, but I had bad luck with the shrink wrap cracking when I passed through a target. I was probably doing something wrong, but still. I have since switched over to the fletching world, as I bought a Bitz jig. I still use the NAP Quik Spin vanes though. Switching over seems to have solved my problems, and I have a lot more color options
Yeah...I would recommend a bitzenburger, bag full of vanes, arrow wraps, and some Goat tuff and DIY! You'll save money and have a sense of accomplishment doing it yourself. The Quick Fletches are cool but not THAT cool for me to justify spending the money for them.
I can't comment on the quick fletch , as I have never used them. I can , however , tell you that fletching arrows is not hard at all. I just bought a Bohning helix tower jig for Blazers , and had never fletched an arrow in my life. Now I get excited everytime I tear some fletching up. Just read up on it a little , pick up a tip here and there , and jump in ... I promise , it's not hard at all.
Thanks fells. No time to invest in fletching my own, but I'll definitely be dropping them off to the local shop, rather an investing in the Quick Fletches.... the price was a little shocking anyway!
