I just ordered some of the NAP Quick Fletches & saw they kept the nocks on their arrows when putting them in the boiling, or close to boiling water. Would the Nockturnal nocks hold up to the hot water or should I use my standard nocks to keep the water out of the arrow shaft? I'm sure they hold up to weather pretty well but submerging them in boiling water may be a bit much. Suggestions?
I took my knocks out while doing it so i could get the fletching back as far as i could without going to far back on the arrow. Whipped it through the air to throw out the water and then let them set out in the sun for a bit to dry out. Worked fine for me.
I've never fletched this way, but I don't think boiling water can be beneficial in any way to a Nockturnal. I would use regular nocks or no nocks if I did it.
I took my nocks out when applying my Quickfletch. I wouldn't risk sticking my nockturnals in that warm of water.
I take my nockturnals off before I dip the arrows in the hot water. Don't want to take a chance and damage them. No nock is needed to put the NAP Quikfletches on.
