Looking to see what others think of this head. I shot Muzzys for a few years then went to G5T3 loved the G5's but I am getting sick of buys replacement blades clips etc. Bought a pack of these today and was impressed with the performance so far. It blew threw my broadhead target threw peg board and stuck into the wood wall of the garage, they are also flying really good with my field points so far out to 30 yards, as anyone shot a deer with these was curious on the blood trail and damage to a deer.
I've shot 5 or 6 deer with the Hellrazor and was very impressed with every one of them. Provided I did my job and hit where I was aiming they all died in less than 100 yards. Blood trails were on par with other fixed blade heads I've used in the past and as you pointed out there's a big bonus with not having to buy replacement blades! One thing about the Hellrazor is that it's a tough broadhead. You can shoot it into just about anything and not worry about breaking it. Here's two videos of bucks that I shot in 2011 with the Hellrazor Halloween Bowhunting | Two Illinois Bucks Go Down Bowhunting Whitetails in November | Bowhunt or Die S2:E19
Great video's Justin. The second buck boy was I sick when I saw the arrow hit and your reaction was just as I would be. Incredible how that arrow penetrated enough to kill that buck. What poundage were you shooting at the time if you can remember?
I usually shoot somewhere around 65-67 lbs during hunting season. I'll be honest - I got lucky on that one. I must've hit a primary vein or artery and thankfully he bled out pretty quickly.
I only shot one deer with NAP hellrazors. We found about 2 small drops of blood and ended but finding him about 2 days later and 150 yards from my stand curled up in a bunch of brush (no head thanks to trespassers, first deer ever and no antlers!). That being said, I had hit him pretty high which is why I think there was hardly any blood as it had to fill up inside him first. This would have happened with any head. I have heard amazing things about the Hellrazors and I believe it was just my particular situation and my shot in which they didn't work for me. Everyone else I've talked to that used them have had great luck and continue to shoot them. I must say they are an extremely durable and razor sharp head. If I were you I wouldn't hesitate to give them a try.
I haven't shot anything with them yet, but I'll be shooting Hellrazors this year (I'll still have my Killzones too ). I've wanted to shoot them ever since I saw Justin shoot one at a computer tower
No, I'm shooting Killzones now. I switched just because I wanted to try something new. I usually switch my broadhead up every year or two for no reason in particular.
I shot Muzzys for years and switched to Hellrazors 2 years ago after too many broadhead 3d's proving the toughness and accuracy of the hellrazor. Montecs are great as well. 16 deer in a row so far. Love em.
