I think the killzone and the grim reaper / spitfire rear deployment is the most efficient. The bloodrunner is a good one as well. The rear deployment takes less force to deploy and is more fail safe. Other broadheads that open as they pass through (not on impact) I don't think are so efficient. The entry hole in some cases may not be so consistent. This is all logic based. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot each broadhead hundreds of time. NAP makes a very quality broadhead. I don't think you can go wrong with whichever one you choose.
Don't want to mess up the thread but thought I would ask... I just got set up with Montec fixed BH's and noticed they are pretty loud, but shooting ok. Has this been a problem for anyone or is this what I should expect from using fixed BH's? Thanks all.
They have been around for awhile for a reason, there great products. I love the killzones on the mechanical end, have used the blood runners, Thunderheads and have the Hellrazors for chasing Elk soon!
Friend of mine shoots them and they "whistle" pretty loudly when in flight, same goes for his wifes pink ones. I have used NAP Killzones and Killzones Maxx's with great success...awesome BH's. NAP makes some great products!
Thanks HardWoods, was definitely surprised with how noticeable the whistle is... I'll take a look at the Killzones.
Interesting. I've used the Montec's for turkey, and will shoot them at deer this year. Never noticed any whistle sound though. Maybe I'll try to pay more attention to them.
