OK, so I got my NAP Apache installed today along with other things and while shooting in my new string I decided to manually raise and lock the arrow rest. Well, it just fell right down. This was one of the things that I was told it WOULD do before I bought it by a few people on this forum. I didn't get the manual from my pro shop today. Forgot to ask for it. I love the rest, quiet and seems to be more acurate than what I had before. I wont know until my peep is installed. I love the full containment also and the tooless adjustment is awesome. Just wanted to know if I am missing something on how to manually cock it for lack of a better description?
There is no way to cock the Apache in the 'up' position. I remember your original thread asking that question and remember answering it the same way. It's a standard drop away rest that is raised by the downward movement of your cable. With that said - give it a little time and shoot it, and I doubt you'll mind that it doesn't "lock" in the up position.
It didn't bother me at all. I was just wanting to make sure I wasn't missing something. I do have to put something on my shelf though. The arrow shaft rubs for about 3" or so on the front edge of it when I draw. Not that loud but, I still want it silent when on stand. I really like it though and I must have misread or didn't remember your answer right. Sorry about that one.
Are you talking about one to install on the shelf of the bow or one installed on the rest? It has one on the shelf of the rest itself. I just need to install a piece of rubber or felt on the front of the shelf on my bow.
In the package with the rest there should have been a 3" rubber piece with a "V" molded into it. This is meant to be put on the shelf to hold your arrow and prevent it from touching your riser. Looks like this (sorry - best pic I could find)
It did and he istalled it today when i went back. He forgot to put it on yesterday. In his defence he was swamped when he installed it.
