After reading all the reviews of the Apache, I've about decided to take another cussing from the ol' lady and get one. The only thing stopping are these questions. Does the Apache lock like the QAD when drawn back and easing it down without shooting? Does the Apache have anything to where you can lock the launcher up like you can a Ripcord or QAD?

I asked the very same question last week. That was the bubble I was stuck on between the quad and the Apache and from what I was told in that post, YES is can. I am going to purchase an Apache.

NO, the Apache does NOT lock in the "up" position. It's a traditional drop-away that is connected via cable/rope to the downward moving cable on your bow. As your draw back the launcher raises, and as you let down the launcher falls.

That my friend, determined that I'll be using a QAD.
