    I remember in like the 4th grade some new kid in class moved into town from New York and said "pop", we all laughed, and he said "what, soda?"

    I honest to goodness thought he was just kidding around with us, now I see from the map its because my county, well state for that matter, uses coke 80-100% of the time. :D it is a coke people! lmao

    What?! We've always called it pop around here...(SW VA) Soda sounds pretty yankee to me... lol.

    The first time I went to a texas restaurant I was thoroughly confused when I tried to order a coke.

    You order "coke" around Rybo's area , and you probably will get the real powdery thing.

    What do you call Sprite? Mountain Dew? Sunkist? 7-Up? Verners? Root Beer?....

    I guess there all "coke" ;) Or maybe you guys havnt heard of these drinks yet :confused:

    Close, but not exactly.

    At a restaurant I will order a "Dr. Pepper".

    But say I wanted a grape flavored "soda". Here, we say do you have a "grape coke".

    But this really doesn't apply to me because I only drink water and beer.
