I tried to load this thing on Photobucket... but it all won't go. You're going to see a snapshot. This was made by my medic... of course we called him Doc. I found him to be the most brave person I ever met. Doc Johnston. He returned to real life and became a nurse. He retired a couple years ago. He has always been one of my 3 heros of Vietnam. He was my medic on my first tour. We lost 4 medics that tour. I had 40 people as a platoon leader. My first tour I lost 11 of them. I probably had 4 times that number wounded. Doc treated them all. He cured them all. He loaded them all on a medevac. What greater job could someone possibly have. He fed us pills and patched us up. Here's Doc's work...but not intirely as it didn't download completely. You'll see me sleeping, getting rid of a damaged LAW. You'll see Doc getting his Silver Star and a bunch of other bobbles. It takes a while to load...give it a chance. The voice over stuff is actual recording saved by one of our Blue Ghost pilots during an August 68 fight in which we killed 521 NVA... Ho's finest. We started the fight with105 vehicles running and ended the 4 day battle with 65. Breakdowns but mostlhy RPG. and recoiless rifles took a toll. There was one Medal of Honor that came out of that fight. It was written up by my CO for an attached infantry guy. He deserved it. I haven't been able to get it to work? Photobuck does blow for videos. Maybe try using Youtube to upload it.
Not workin for me either. Would love to watch it! I can't imagine what you guys went through over there! Thank you !!!!!!!!!!
The link worked for me. Thank you for your service and what you guys did. There are some really cool pictures in there. It would be even better to hear the stories behind some of them but i realize thats not really possible.
That was great work and very hard to watch, thanks for sharing. Nothing like the sound of the big Browning firing, and Creedence playing.
My ex wife's father was in Vietnam I believe in 1970 to 1972 he was told me plenty of stories about Vietnam. My hats off to you all.
Thats awesome stuff right there. I am especially fond of the pictures of the old hueys. Seeing how I am a modern day huey crewcheif I often wonder how those old 2 blade single engine relics even got off the ground...my hat is off to you good sir.
Good video David. Like I've told you before several times, THANK YOU for your service during that hell hole of a war. Your service and those that perished are not forgotten by the good men and women of this country.
