I know I'm pretty much a seasonal guy around here but Im starting this thread so I can update when my wife goes into labor. Im super excited and want to share the news, so bare with me
Don't get too far away. My first one came in less than an hour and a half and the second in a little over two hours. You never know. May The Sheep Be With You
This wait is absolutely terrible. How does one concentrate at work when I keep staring at my phone willing it to ring? On a side note we had a Dr. appointment yesterday and were hoping the doctor could do a couple of things to help get her going only to find out she was delivering another baby. So instead we got to see the nurse who just measured her and listened to the heartbeat. We left feeling rather dissappointed (not that the OB wasnt there, we understand that she has other patients to attend to) that we didnt at least get to talk to the OB about things.
Well, absolutely nothing this weekend. A few contractions here and there but that has been going on for weeks. We have our Dr. appointment Thursday and are pretty sure she is going to want to induce thursday night or Friday. My wife is really hoping to avoid an induction so hopefully he decides to show up before then.
Take her for a ride in the old pickup on some rough rodes. If she doesn't go into labor it will shake that baby right out of her! Seriouly it works!
Well today is the due date and nothing so far. We've tried every trick in the book except castor oil. This kid is going to be stubborn like his mother....
I heard laxatives help too. I know I'll be trying everything to get my little man out before Oct 1st... I don't want to miss opening day! I'm due Sept 15
Been there cubs, our daughter was a week over due... yea lets just say not a very fun week. good luck, hope the baby comes soon!
My wife was a week overdue with our baby and it was definitely not fun. Between her basically being like "GET THIS KID OUT OF ME!!" and our relatives calling, texting and emailing 3 times a day to find out "what's going on" she was ready to kill someone. Everyone acted like we were just going to the hospital and were going to have the baby in secrete and then call them when he turned 18 and say "Oh by the way, we had a baby 18 years ago. Sorry we forgot to tell you." Good luck when he finally does arrive. It's something you'll never forget!
My wife apparently just needed a nudge to go into labor. 10 minutes after they started induction drugs she was in full blown labor. 5 hours later I got to hold this guy Pretty unbelievable experience. Ryder Anthony was born 8/28 at 12:28 pm weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and 20 inches long.
