Personally Atlas.. I prefer the Fall Grey.. seems a bit more open patterned for me. And I wear it from the start of the season til its end. I don't wear the green at all.

And like you.. many of the trees I hunt have NO leaves by November.. and all I look for is the extra 5 seconds.

The Deception is a great pattern.. if you grow a beard and shoot wooden arrows.:D
    (sorry BHF.. i couln't resist.):)

Good stuff, Troy. I may be looking to purchase some GWW Fall Gray this summer for next season. I can't resist after a year of putting it off.

I know the pic is a little dark, but it was actually much lighter out. Troy blended right in and I was about 7 yds away.

I've worn a predator jacket for 2 seasons now in colder weather bow hunting and i certainly will be adding more.(but I really have too much camo already) Predator & Natural Gear are probably the only 2 patterns I will buy new from here on out.

i just received my dec. brown fleece pants and jacket and fleece face mask. I got my from GWW and had a few alterations done. I wanted Fall Gray but Predator told me it'd be a couple of month b/f they'd have it in. I figured for $212 for entire cold weather outfit, can't beat it. I want the vest, GMMAT has it and loves it. I've been wearing ASAT thus far and great results. I had 11 does and 2 buck all within 30 yards, I was 13 feet high, and not a one of them saw me (they were all there at the same time).

I believe the ASAT 3D suit is the most effective camo I have ever used. I love it to death...

But, I grew tired of having to deal with wearing it as an over suit so I got away from wearing it other than the hot early season. There is no real quality gear offered in ASAT camo, this is another reason I got away from wearing ASAT.

IMO the second best alternative after the ASAT 3D suit is predator camo. But much like ASAT there is no readily available high quality gear in it.

If you want quality gear you have to go custom with Gray Wolf Woolens. But, this thread isn't about the quality of the gear but the camos effectiveness...

    Stepping off of soapbox....

Predator camo gets my nod of approval :)

I like the brown deception for early season until snow fall. I think the green would work equally as well if not better through most of September here but the brown would work better in Oct until snowfall for ground hunting. I picked the brown to get the most bang eeerrrr twang for my buck.

I would buy Fall Grey before Green Deception though as I could see using it more for the little bit of tree hunting I do or setting up in brush and after the snow flies. The Brown Deception is ok but the Fall Grey would definitely be better. It will probably be my next camo purchase.

I would love to try this for the upcoming turkey season but I can't find it here. Where can I find it on the web?

The Fleece Jacket made by Predator is great quailty and it's the same Jacket Grey wolf woolens sells. IMO Predator the last year has made great leaps in their quality.

I am not a fan of wolf skin at all, I have 2 wolfskin suits and they both have ripped.

Does anyone have the brushed cotton predator clothing? If so, how do you like it?

I hate fleece....I can't deal with the hitchikers . One walk through some of my spots and you'll never get em off of fleece.

yes I do, and it fades.

I have the bucksuede Jacket and the poly pants they sell is a great suit.

As for the Hitchhikers I agree, but they give me a nice woddies smell:D
