After wearing my first stitch of Predator back in April for Turkeys and having a flock of turkeys see me squat down in an open field and then go back to feeding once I held still less than 50 yards away.. I can not say enough about all of the positive reactions I have got from game animals. Time and time again I have had elk, deer, especially some old cagey does in Iowa look right through me perched in bare trees! I haven't had a buck bust me this season most don't even stop to look they just miss me all together. I am very impressed to say the least. I know it took me a while to get the open pattern bug but now after using it for 9 months I am hooked. (the fleece rocks as well, its absolutely dead silent) Ive been layering my early season Dec green under my Dec Brown.. another good contrast

I see a lot of other guys pictured in predator as well. I'd like to hear your take.

The stuff rocks. It allows me to get into smaller trees that I would not noramlly hunt. It takes away the big blob effect that most camos can give looking up from ground level. It is just an all around great camo for later season on the ground in the snow as well. Took this buck with it last year at 10 yards in a great spot that didn't have any big trees. Again took him at 10 yars and I was only 12 feet in the air. Good Stuff!

Used the stuff for several years now.. loved it from the start.

Although.. like Buckeye once pointed out in another thread.. I'm a little upset about how the world has gone "Deception" crazy.

It's not that I don't like Predators Deception.. it's that I think Fall Grey is much more open and versatile.. personally.

But hey.. what do I know?

Call me Deception crazy! I could care less what people think what is good what one is better, I've been foolin' them going on 3 years now, the Deception works for me and see no need to change!

    I do like predator camo.

Tell you what though, I've probably shot more animals in my lucky tan/khaki colored pants than anything....

My thoughts pretty much mirror Troy's. I've got 4x suits now, 2x in Gray (including the new fleece), Brown, and Green. I've also got a deception fleece vest from before they offered their fleece in Gray. Fantastic stuff, and you can really get away with murder wearing this stuff. The green is great for spring birds as well.

Me too.. I layer that stuff like in my pix above, I got the lightweight in green for early season then it becomes a layer as the temps drop in oct/nov/dec

Troy, my next purchase will be the BD vest like in your pic, I'm thinking it'll work well when it gets cold during the early season and really break up my outline over my Green Deception

I had NO idea how much I would love that vest, my favorite article so far... no binding in the shoulders when drawing like with coats and parkas.. great for layering under.. you will love it.

Predator is one of the only camo patterns I don't have..........with the choices out there which pattern do you find the most versatile??

I don't think the green pattern would be needed around here unless for turkey..........what I look for the MOST in a pattern around here anyways is something that can just maybe give me an extra 5 seconds when the late season hits and the leaves are gone. The simple fact is on some of the farms I hunt and more specifically some of the areas I want to hunt on those farms are best hunted late season and the trees I can get into are just not ideal for back drop cover...........many times I have just a couple limbs to blend in with. Sometimes it works and I have killed from those tough spots.........sometimes it doesn't and I have been busted cold though.

    Fall Grey??......Deception??

    Any favorites???

all I have is Deception brown and the guys that wear the Fall Grey say its even better, greater contrast etc.. I dont know if you can go wrong, I sat in trees last week with 0 foilage and very few limbs at all.. I was deep in the timber where I had trees in the background but not always right near me.. again I couldnt be happier... My buds stands are set low for my comfort too.. again I still didnt get busted when initially I felt unconfortable with the height.. most of his stands are at 15 feet... I like 18-22 .. myself.. The one stand I got my buck out of and had the giant near me..both walking right at me.. around me for 30 minutes...was 18 feet.. and on a steep hillside.. Not once did those bucks stop and stare in any way.

I dont think you can go wrong with dec brown or fall grey.. I have brown dec and green dec for early season ...
