...he's become a killing machine. For nearly 40 years I tried to get my buddy Chuck into bow hunting. Then when I moved to New York from Maryland in 2007 I made him an offer. I had Len in Maryland put lower cams on my old Darton. I had him shorten the draw length to fit Chuck. That meant different arrows which I bought. I wasn't going to leave him with the Spot Hogg sight on the bow so bought another sight for him. I gave him a dozen arrows, a dozen broadheads, a release, bow quiver and even camo to wear. I taught him how to shoot and told him my theory and observations. Had him up to my house on 4 occasions for serious shooting lessons. Well, he just shot his 24th deer with my old Darton last night... a nice little 6 pointer. That's in 5 years... we'll he's in the 5th year. He just called me...he hit a doe and couldn't find it. After all the blow by blow I think he was probably within eye sight of the deer but it was dark. Suppose to be 30s or below tonight. I told him the deer would be close if the coyotes don't find it. Anyway.... he's become a killing machine. He does have a petting zoo to hunt in near Ithaca, NY. It's suburbia. He walks from his house in a neighborhood about 100 yards, climbs his stand and watches the parade go by. LOL Of his first 24 deer, most have been shot from 2 stands that haven't moved. LOL At least the boy hits them. LOL
