Well my son just bought his first boat minus the mud motor. Its a 2004 Lowe river john 16/42, has the long shaft trolling motor and a spare short troller. It has the deck and lights already setup. I have fished out of this boat, its solid. Ill be building him railing and maby a bighead tower. I already have a generator, a little big but it will work for now. Already have a line on an out board to. maby mud motor down the road, those things are pricy. This will be a good project for him and me to put our personal touches on, cant wait. SO look out fish this is going to be fun, :tu: [IMG]

Hell yeah, congrats on the bowfishin rig. It only gets worse from here. You'll be out every weekend now and you'll always be fabbing and throwing money into the boat haha. Through some LEDs on there on a 12v battery on a bigfoot switch on your big head tower and you'll be set.

Saw this on Facebook, looks awesome! My dad bought a 16 foot aluminum bass boat a few months ago and it has been a blast! We've caught lots of fish on it and its a great way to spend time together during the off season.

Looks just like the boats we have down at our Duck Club in Stuttgart, also great gar territory. Looks like I should give bowfishing a try.

Looking good! I would love to have a nice boat like that, but I'm not sure I'd have time to ever use it. Good luck on stickin some fish.

It will double for that, will likely take deck off for foulin and install camo flip down sides!

Do you have real swampy stuff that would require a mud motor? If you're going out on the river after bigheads and whatnot, you'll be fine with a regular outboard.
