Some of you met my son Cole at the bowhunting.com get together so you may also know him as frog slayer. Last Wednesday during the Wisconsin gun season he was on a stand less then 10 minutes when he put this fawn doe down. We got up on this hill and we sat down and I said to him remember where you want to shoot the deer right? He responded with yes in the crosshairs.lol I said right behind the shoulder then we heard it the unmistakable sound of a deer walking. I said Cole here she comes and he starts to get up because he couldn't see her and I almost jump out of my skin and I whispered to sit back down. Well she walks up and he puts the scope on her then looks over at me and asks if he can shoot her. Again I almost jump out of my skin and I whisper yes shoot her. He fires Off 1 shot and she flips and the deal is done. The boy spends less than 10 minutes On a stand and gets his first deer. 2013 he will be going at it with a bow also to try And get his first deer with that weapon. It was pretty cool when he walked up to her to make sure she was down. I got all this on video too.
