    SLOW DOWN!!!!
(Use with a grain of salt;))

This pertains to both target shooting and hunting in general. Don't be so damn rushed to take the shot. I see all kinds of people at the range rushing. And it shows. It's like they can't wait to get that shot off. I believe rushing the shot is also a leading contributor to "punching" the trigger.

I had this problem the first 16 months of my bowhunting and target shooting career. Now that I take my time, let that pin settle more and relax, my accuracy and consistency has improved 100%.

It doesn't hurt to hold a full draw a few extra seconds. Sure there are situations that you have to take a quick shot while hunting. But typically I think a lot of people shoot wayyyyyy to fast and don't realize how much time they have.

This ends my rant for the day.

This is great advice... I have a friend who rushes every time he shoots. im hoping he waits for a good shot when we go sit on my bear bait station.

Good advice. Archery is one of those sports where less is more. Relax, settle in and sqqqqquuuueeeeeeeeezzzzzeeeee that trigger.

I agree 100%. Now my 13 year old won't listen. I think 'll cut about 1/2 his trigger off and see what happens.
