    Hey guys,

I havn't been on here much for awhile, my internet was down for nearly a month. I figured that I would update ya'll on how things have been going.

Season started out pretty good, saw plenty of small bucks early and just alot of deer movement in general. That first week I passed up a decent 8 point which was actually the biggest buck that I got pictures of from those woods this season. Truth be told, if I see that same buck tomorrow I will shoot him, it was just very early in season and I didn't want to end it soo soon.

After that first week, things died down entirely, deer sightings all but dried up, and on the rare occurance I saw a deer, it was always the same button buck passing by.

Last week the switch turned on and deer activity jumped big time. I got to witness some bucks chasing a doe behind my stand and got to listen to them grunting the whole time as their antlers smashed off the trees.

Tonight my fiance and I hit the woods for an evening hunt and my day started off with a spike coming in to my mock scrape. A little while later I had a doe and a fawn in the swamp below me and a doe and two fawn in a thicket behind me. As I watched them I heard something heading up the hill towards me and turned to see a decent 6 point about 16" wide with some decent mass working his way towards me. I passed him up at 10 yards as he was headed straight for Tiffany. At dark I made my way to her stand and found out that she had saw the spike as well as a 6 point, funny thing is she saw a different six point than I did. This was the first time she has seen a buck from stand, and she said that her heart was pumping. The buck was at about 27 yards and she didn't feel comfortable taking the shot, she wants a 20 yard shot or less. She tried to use her grunt call to hopefully bring him in closer, but she said that she was too shook up that she couldn't get it to make any sound :d She was so pumped for tonight and it made the night worthwhile. We will be back at it in the morning and I am hopefull that it comes together for her.

I think a few of us are in the same boat. It has been a slow season here, saw a great 9 that I passed on opener and almost got a nice ten close enough yesterday. Other than that Dinks galore!
