I just got my 2015 Covert Extreme HD Red 40 today. Now I've got 3 Covert Red 40s (unreal battery life!) and a Cudde Attack, which completes my trail cam arsenal. I should be good to go next season.
My first two Red 40s are 2013 models and they work great! I'm not used to cams lasting more than a year. lol For the money, the Red 40 is a solid trail cam, with quality pics.
I've got around $800 tied up in cams, I have to draw a line somewhere! lol If money wasn't an object, I'd have more. Also, I'm hunting public land, so I have to keep the number of cams I put out to a minimum. I don't want to push my luck! So far, in 13 years of setting cams on public land, I've YET to have one stolen. I'd love to keep it that way. lol
Two and I hate to accuse someone of stealing from me so I'm sure that they must have made a mistake and trespassed on my property and then picked up my cameras by mistake.
That's funny right there! Early in, show us pics of your deer after you get the cams set up. I use them on public land too but I do it right after season closes since nobody seems to go into the woods then. I can run them till the antlers fall off and I know what made it through hunting season. I'll be putting them out after Jan 15.
