ok so i was at dunhams the other day, and i saw a price i couldn't pass up, it was a 3 pack of blood runners 2 blade 100 grain, i have wanted these since Aug, and the price was 25$ for a 3 pack with 3 replacement blades, so i got them. when i got home i decided to test them before i get a happy that i got in my mind was "the best broad head".
    here is the test,
blood runners 2 blade 100 grain
    muzzy 3 blade 100 grain
    tunderhead 3 blade 100 grain
    montec G5 100 grain
and here is what i am using
Bear Charge, 65#, 29 draw length, 29.5 arrow length
arrows are easton ICS, fully set up grain weight is 422 grains

the first test was 20 yards at a compressed foam target with paper on the front and paper on the back, this was so i could see when the blades started to cut.

    heres what i got
Muzzy-26.5 inches of penetration, full cut on both sides of paper
G5 Montec- 26 inches of penetration, full cut on both sides of paper
thunderheads- 27.25 inches of penetration, full cut on both sides of paper

Blood runners- 25 inches of penetration, the first cut on the front of the paper was 1 1/8 th, so it did not open on the paper, and the back piece was fully open 2 1/16th cut. i also noticed, my bow is tuned for the muzzys, and the montecs, and thunder heads, were off where i was aiming about 4-5 inches off, but when i put the blood runners on, they flew just as good or better then the muzzys

one thing i did notice was after some 3 shots from all the broad heads, i took note that the only broad heads that were still sharp enough for me to say i would hunt with them where the muzzys and the blood runners.

there will be more testing to come, the next test is going to be into ballistics jell, so i can see when the blood runners start to open, and and i will also put deer skin on the front and back side of the jell and make the jell about as thick as the kill zone of a deer, so i can see if a pas through is possible.

my conclusion so fare is that, i am glade i got the blood runners, i think they will do great on turkeys, they are very accurate, no noise that i could hear, they make a scary big hole. i am hopping that the other test will make me super excited for next deer season.

Thanks for sharing. I would love to use the Blood runners for elk hunting because of the larger cut, but I am just afraid the penetration won't be there.
I guess I will stick with my muzzy 3 blades.

no problem, on thing that still scares me is, ya 2 inch cut, but its a line cut, and 3 and 4 blads cut more skin and it takes longer to clot up with blood

Ive never used a 2 blade head or even a 4 blade ive used many fixed/mechanical heads and the montec cs and grimreaper razortip are the best for me. Bloodrunners are somthing to try tho thanks for the review i may just have to try them out before its over with.
