This is where I’m at in the game right now...

From 2012-2015 all I ran was Coverts. They worked pretty good, and I still have 6 in the woods. The picture quality isn’t up to the new standard but they WORK. Most of my greatest contest winners have been with Covert.

I bought into the USA Trail Cams and Snyper hype due to Pat, and I was able to capture some AMAZING images...but over time i realized i was missing more than I was getting.

I recently sold and/or sent in all my USAs and Snypers. Waiting for my package to return with new Snypers before I fully review them. I have 3 recruits and a Flare that still work pretty good in the woods.

I ran some cheap wild games that also took pictures but left a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend them for anything more than bait pile/mineral licks.

I bought two stealth cams, one only works half the time (they won’t refund me because I lost the receipt) and the other works just also leaves a lot to be desired.

I bought a bunch of Bushnell E2s and E3s this year. The E2 is a better camera and right now my favorite model, but it’s not perfect. The E3s were inconsistent.

I also bought some Brownings, the picture quality is not great but the night time videos are AWESOME, I was disappointed in the sound quality though (no saved pictures on my phone).

I recently purchased a Radix (no save docitures yet) that is not worth the money and a Primos that surprisingly is worth the coin.

Next year I’m going to look into Spypoints (i like the reviews) and Moultrie, as the few i have/had worked pretty darn good for their intended purposes.

It’s been a long time since I’ve used Cuddeback as well, but got a lot of solid images out of mine back in the day...

If anybody has any questions regarding my use of cams or has any suggestions for me I’m all ears, I’d like to have my camera game set and ready to go for turkey season this year.

I think you will be sorry getting spypoint and moultrie. Maybe they will have better cams in 2018. Spypoint CS is horrible. Moultrie is just ok nothing better than you have. If you want pictures get a Browning elite or Stealth ds4k. If you want video get a Browning extreme or Stealth ds4k. Both of these are around 150-170 bucks. Reconyx XR6 is a good one but more expensive. The primos 03 gen 2 is a cheap alternative for video. Not as good but decent.

Moultrie is still all I use.

Moultrie has a quality range and this is due to selling at most price points. For example don't expect a 550 to take the same pics as a 999 or 990. These are from a 990.

I’ve read a lot of bad reviews on the 4K stealth cam, especially about video mode. You have to run them in 1080p or you get a ton of blur. Price isn’t the biggest obstacle, but cheaper would be better as I run around 40 cameras at a time.

My Brownings only drawback is the picture quality and battery life, on video mode it EATS batteries and takes huge file sizes. But man are the videos sweet, sometimes the sound is messed up though.

Reconyx is out of the question.

Those are an example of something I find completely serviceable in a manageable price range.

I’m really interested in a few models, namely the m888.

Those are good cams. I recently bought a 999 on sale at rogerssportinggoods.com. i think its 109 for 1 and 89 for 2. Lots of good sales this time of year everywhere though.

I bought a 999i and the first rain and it was wet from the leds all the way down into the batteries. Took it back to cabelas.
I have two ds4k cams and i have 1 set on 1080p and the other on 2k video. I don't use the 4k because it is 15 fps. Good but jumpy. The pictures from the ds4k are the best I have ever seen....
My two Browning extreme cams have the external battery pack and last a long time. They have the best day videos hands down. 1080p at 60 fps. At night the ds4k has better video.
You can go to youtube.com and in the search bar type in bowhtr1 and see videos of a bunch of different cams I have tested.

Thanks for the replies, I’ll check em out. Any pictures of your setups on the Brownings with the external batteries?
