I disced up 2 food plots on Saturday and planted them Monday in 98* temps. They just got a good rain on them tonight, this could work out just great.

I planted this corner on a long skinny field in Antler King-Honey Hole. About 1/3 of an acre.

I see deer come out in this corner all the time when I am out there. This should keep them coming all season.

This is a long strip of Bioligic-Full Draw planted where a big hollow empties into the field. It is a natural funnel for the deer to follow off the hill. It's a 100 yards long by 10-15 yards wide.

I have more food plots planned for the other field on this property. I hope I can draw the deer and hold them on my property with the best food around. They will have a smorgasboard. Here is the rest of my plans for this fall. I'll be busy the next few weeks.;)

Congrats! I am not familiar with the antler king, but the full draw will be an awesome producer from early november through whenever they mow it all down. Last year my full draw lasted into march. They ate the tops from november till late december. Then they ate the bottoms from December till mid march. Keep posting updates!!

It's looking good. I wish I had a place to do all that fun stuff. Keep us posted on how the plots progress.

Mowed a tiny plot yesterday, tilled it today, plan on planting it next week. Prepped a stand tree for my Lone Wolf, totally hidden 15-20yd shot to the plot!

I got the rest of my food plots planted yesterday. My cousin came over Saturday with his 150 HP John Deere and plowed up my brushy field for me.

I disced up the spots I wanted to plant food polts in and planted them yesterday. Here is the South corner of the field, planted in a clover chickory mix and turnips.

The East corner, planted in Biologic Hot Spot, clover/chickory and a strip of wheat.

And a few of the plots I planted 10 days ago, coming along nicely.

Looks awesome John. Wish we had access to a big tractor like that one, makes quick work of those bigger patches thats for sure. Keep us updated on the progress, the germination looks about right for 10 days so far. The next 2 weeks will make a world of difference though.

2x of my plots have been seeded for 30 days now (seperate strips of Tecomate Clover, Tecomate Chicory, and Biologic Maximum), and my biggest plot has been seeded for 2 weeks (seperate strips of Tecomate Clover, Tecomate Ultra Forage, Biologic Maximum, and Biologic Full Draw).

I'm headed to camp this weekend to do a bit of stand work and relax around the campfire with Lisa, and will make sure to take updated pics of everything to share.

Thumbs up John. Looks like you have some farmer in you afterall!

I promise, next year I will find you some "stray" (*wink wink*) soybean seeds to plant. Did you end up planting any natural cover grass like you were planning?
