I cut the cable cord back in 2012, that's actually how I discovered BHOD via Roku. After a bit over 4 years I picked cable back up in Feb 2016. I was still using their internet and they offered me an awesome price to bundle cable, fax line and TV. I knew this was a one year special but after paying March and then April's billing I was more than surprised at how much it went up. $89 hike in March and then another $19 in April. Who knows what it'll be in May.

Anyway we're not a big TV family anyway. My wife and kids still watch more Roku than cable and the ONLY thing I watch is hunting/fishing shows. I have to pay for a bunch of crap in between local channels and Outdoors/Sportsman to get those hunting channels.

Was looking at My Outdoor TV and the only thing that made me question is it said in the FAQs that they can only show an episode 1 year after airing on TV. But I'll see an ad for a show that hasn't aired yet and it'll say like Sunday 8:30 ET or catch all episodes on MYOTV.com

I'd say I'm about current on what all has aired here lately. If I cut the cord tomorrow and sign up for MYOTV will I spend a year watching the shows I just watched this season. I realize I can catch up on shows that aired from 2012-2016, but just looking for feedback on people who subscribe.

Call em up & ask. I'd bet they want to hear from supporters & would be happy to talk

I have Carbon TV on my Roku but from 2012-2016 I pretty much went thru everything I'd watch and kinda a factor in letting them talk me into cable. Once I got cable and got current programming I realized some of those shows were way more than one season behind.

There is a lot of hunting apps on Roku and TBH I found most of them pretty bad. I guess that's also a testament to BHOD because they do a very good show that could be on TV if they wanted. Some of the other shows are kind pitiful.

I'm fairly new to this roku thing and really don't completely understand it. Do you pay extra for this carbon channel?

I did call them and there is a one year lag on most shows, but I could catch up on a lot of the shows I missed 2012-2016. The only one I wasn't crazy about waiting a year on was Major League Fishing because that is kind of a current up to date deal and I was told that because MOTV was a sponsor or whatever they air MLF after 2 days. So that is good news. Looks like cable is going bye bye again.

No Carbon TV is free. It's a good channel but on a lot of the shows I care about they are a couple of seasons behind. Can't complain too much about free though.

There are a LOT of shows on Carbon and if I was interested in all of them it would keep me busy for a long time with my limited TV time. However, I don't watch bull riding, waterfowl shows, VERY little gun centric shows, etc.

I watch both carbon tv and my outdoor tv. Yes its easy to get through all the shows if you binge watch. Seems like my outdoor tv gets updated but not too often.

MYODTV is only on the phone, right? Or is it on Roku also? I was bummed when Carbon dropped Bone Collector. I've pretty much watched everything of interest. :(

My Outdoor TV is just on your phone, computer, and maybe tablets. I have apple tv and am able to air play my phone to my tv. But I messaged MOTV and it didn't seem like there would be an app for roku or apple tv coming out anytime soon. Hopefully after posting this they prove me wrong.
