Speaking of ar15's, ha, if anybody is looking for pmags primary arms has them in stock. I jus ordered three 30 round and two 20 rounders. Not really a must have but they're still pretty spotty to order.

Scott - Out of curiosity, why do you feel Noveske, Bravo Company, and DD are better than RR? I do feel that DD's handguards are absolutely top notch, but the DD barrel I've seen personally didn't shoot as well as anything RR that I've seen before. Not questioning you, but you likely have more experience than I do with them and I'm curious to know your thoughts.

In the same sense I would put Spike's in there from what my buddy Mark has been through. I know he recently got a Mega lower with a machining flaw and it has been hard getting ahold of them. I know Mark had an issue with a Billet set her ordered from Spikes and they sent a forged lower in error, he called and let him keep the forged and sent the Billet set. He also had bad issues with Daniel Defense and their Customer Service.

I know I also reached out to Buckeye in regards to barrels because my buddy Mark researched the heck out of them before settling on Bravo's Ion Bond barrels. Bravo is supposed to have ridiculously accurate barrels, that is why I am putting them on my next two builds. I know Mark would likely put RR in the same boat as Buckeye but they would duke it out over Spike's. Again, sometimes it becomes Chevy vs. Ford and everyone has good and not so good experiences. I saw a $279 Noveske forged lower yesterday and could never see paying that much for what I was holding in my hand when Mega and Spike's are going for 109.00-130.00 right now for a forged lower.

My next lower will be from Umbrella Corporation as soon as they come back in stock. You guys should check them out. They are sweet!

I'm wrapping up a 300BLK build. It is a PSA lower and a AR/Stoner barrel. It is going to spend most of its life as a ranch rifle, mostly for pig and varmint control. I didn't want a really expensive one for that.

My 5.56 is a Sabre Defence (no longer in business) but it sure is a sweet shooter.

I really want to save up and get a LaRue PredatAR 7.62 for my next one. They are the top of the top of the line rifles out there, IMO.

I do have a high regard for Rock River as I mentioned them in my original post. What I do not like about them is their standard trigger kit (their two stage is a nice feeling trigger but has some knocks for reliability, although I never had one fail), or their use of commercial buffer tubes and stocks.

I have a preference for chrome lined barrels not the standard chrome-moly or the stainless. I couldn't find any ammo that the RRA chrome lined barrel I had really liked. However the chrome-moly RRA barrel shot very nice. I also do not like the contour on the 14.5" chrome lined RRA barrels, they are too heavy (only medium weight and M4 profiles). I like the lightweight profile. I have no use for the extra weight of an M4 profile that accepts the grenade launchers or the medium weight.

I am not a long range bench type shooter. I like 14.5 inch barrels on light weight builds. My current rifle is perfect for me. Here it is.

    Noveske Gen II lower receiver
Spikes enhanced lower parts kit (love this trigger)
    B.A.D. ambi safety selector
    KNS anti rotation pins
    Magpul ACS-L mil-spec stock
    Umbrella Corporation rifle grip
Bravo Company Bolt carrier group and a Bravo Company Gunfighter charging handle
Bravo Company BFH light weight 14.5" upper receiver assembly with the chrome lined, cold hammer forged barrel
Bravo Company low profile gas block
Battle Comp 1.5 muzzle brake / flash hider
    Magpul BUIS

I took this Centurion Arms 12" C4 rail off and swapped it out with a Troy VTAC 13" Battle Rail though (sorry no photos).

For me this rifle is all but perfect. What it is missing is an Aimpoint T1. They were only available with outrageous prices when I put this together, so I have yet to get one for it.

You read me wrong, I very much like Spikes products. For the price they are unbeatable. In fact, the spikes enhanced lower parts kit is my parts kit of choice.

I also love the Calico Jack roll mark.

I would not think twice of owning another Spikes rifle.

I see these things about low to upper range ARs or guns for that matter. Other than not jamming up, what makes one better than the other? Just asking, In my job I only have the option of a weapon, it's the one thats issued.

Ive never owned a gun before though my dad has several, I plan on starting my collection when I get back to the states. S&W has some discounts for LEO/Military and I was thinking about getting an S&W AR but I hear they're more in the mid range ARs.

This is almost the exact setup I'm wanting to go with exact setup only a 16 inch barrel and I'm not sure about the optics yet.

What's a good place to go to compare prices? I pretty much know what I want, but I'm not looking to spend tons of money here

Nice build man! I'm currently using a LWRC M-6 SPR. Gotta love any AR. I've harvested two doe's with my M-6. These things are very versatile fire arms.
