I checked the cuddeback today and moved it to a trail that we call "the highway". Its a trail right in the middle of the wide open woods that always gets heavy traffic. Heres the pics from the spot we had it in, a small creek crossing. We didnt get any special bucks, but the pictures were pretty good.... This buck gave us a lovely view: And this one is by FAR my favorite:
And my Stealth cam pics. I moved the camera off the lick and onto the edge of one of my hay fields. I want to see whats been feeding out their since we have been staying out of the woods lately. The turkeys showed up a bunch this time: This tree rat wanted some salty goodness too:
You're lovin' the Cuddeback aren't ya! :D Cool pics buddy. FD is going to show up soon, I can feel it.
awesome pics again siman!! quick question how long do you have a camera out before you check it? im always scared to go out to my camera. i usaully wait a week or so, but that seems very frequent to me.. i suppose it depends if you leave it in one spot or not, but how frequent would you go out to check a camera if you plan on leaving it in a spot for some time.
Great pics. Love the running fawn pic. I've got to get my pics from the week loaded up sometime a little later. MN I check my cam weekly and always have 100-200 deer pics. I spray down with scent-a-way, wear in my rubber boots and wear latex gloves to keep my scent down.
It all depends, sometimes 3 days, sometimes a week, sometimes 15 days. It depends on the spot...how much pressure it usually has...etc
Good stuff, that jumping fawn pic is truly awesome!.. Seriously one of the best pictures I have seen in a very long time.
Me too, heres some from there in the past: And the trail leads right to the clearing where i have my "super scrape" that always produces :D It should be a great spot, im just worried i positioned the camera a little too close, well find out i guess
