I had been toying with the idea lately of buying a new truck, and finally decided to act on it. Normally I am a Chevy man. The last 2 vehicles we bought new were Chevys.

2005 Malibu - still running great with 332k miles on it. We gave it to my GFs mom since she is on disability and can't afford to get a car and fix her own.

2012 Chevy equinox which is my GF

I bought 03 silverado 1500 that I paid 4k for it 6 years ago (I felt like I stole it)and it has about 212k miles on it and it runs great - it's a Chevy why wouldn't it?

Anyways, this weekend I betrayed my beloved Chevy family and bought a new 2014 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport

I've loved the looks of these trucks and after test driving it on Saturday and knowing someone in sales at the dealer ship and getting it for the price I did with only my first monthly payment as a down payment I couldn't resist.

Going to add a bully bar with skid plate and off road lights and side runners because my short as GF has trouble getting in (wait till I raise the ***** ) Not sure what tires/rims to get yet..

    Color is mica pyrite

Congrats! There is something about almost all the new models body style that just doesn't do it for me. I dunno

Nice! You will love it. 140K on my 05, and not a thing wrong with it.

Yeah I've known several people with Tacomas with 200k + with nothing wrong and still going strong.

Yep, I had a touch over 190K on my 96 when I sold it for $400 less than I paid for it 4 years prior with 115K :D

They had a really nice 2012 with only 13k miles. Had a bed cap too. Just to big of a truck for what I need. Plus I have a older silverado that I use as a work horse
