After much debate and a bonus from work(for a sale we did 2 years ago), I made my only purchase for this hunting year.

I researched two stands and sticks I wanted.

    Muddy Hunter Stand 154.99
    LoneWolf Assault 209.99

    Muddy Sticks 129.99
    LoneWolf Sticks 129.99

For stand it was a toss up, after reading Todds post(he is a good dude, and I do believe he gives a honest review) I went with the muddy. The designs are similar, I do like the platform of the assault a bit more, but I did not see 50.00 more dollars of value in the stand.

The Sticks were a no brainer, muddy's design is better IMO, even though they are shorter. I love the rope deal to attached to the tree, and I love steps on both sides. I bought extra stick so I have 5. The deal was $339.95 for the sticks and stands. The lone wolf deal would have been $414.97.

In this day and age I did not see the value for lonewolf rig for the extra cash. Lonewolf prices have really gone up, I don't know why. I had my heart set on a LW until I saw the prices. On a side note I am going to be selling some stands on ebay. If anyone here wants some goood stands at a good price let me know. I will have 3 of them, let me know.

Let me know once you get your stands all hung up and ready-to-go. I'm low on fundage, and it will probably just be cheaper for me to drive to Michigan and steal a few stand sets, as opposed to buying my own.

Germ you aren't kidding about the LW prices going way up recently. I'm glad I bought two Alpha Hang On stands before this year. The Muddy will be a good stand for you. I have two Loggy Bayou Predators (got a steal on them for $80 a piece this past winter) which are pretty much the same thing.

I could probably just steal them while you're sitting in them. I'm quite tough, ya know.

Germ, I just picked up the same set up, except I got 2 extra sticks. The shipping was really fast. I think you'll be even more impressed once you receive everything. I was in the same boat as you wanting to go LW but just not willing to shell out the cash.

I can't wait to try this set up out this year.

BTW, my money's on Quik. He used to play hockey ya know.;)

Germ, not sure if you are interested in getting another stand or not, but the Loggy Bayou Predator Pro (which the Muddy stands are designed off of) is still available at the retailer I bought mine from last winter.

For $79.99, the stand is pretty much identical to the Muddy stands, except for the Muddy thick padded seat. Plus, if anything needs to be replaced, Muddy has all of the replacement parts you would need.

Wanted to pass that along if you were looking for another stand in the future.

Sorry buddy, I didn't know you were in the market for a new stand. I've been hibernating the past few months. :D

I bought three of the Loggy Pros, last winter. I couldn't pass them up for that price. And from what I remember seeing from Muddy at the ATA compared to the Loggy Bayou, there isn't much difference.

The seat can be replaced, the only other difference is the platform shape.

My only gripe about the stand was one box was missing a bolt. I didn't think that was much to sweat over though.

I wouldn't hesistate in buying two more of these stands Germ. Hopefully I didn't ruin your day. Just trying to help brotha!!

So Germ, guess what actually arrived in the mail today? A flyer from Rogers Sporting Goods. I've never received one before. Imagine the timing.

And guess what else is "NOW" listed for $69.99, the Loggy Bayou Predator stand.

    Have A Good Day! ;):D

I got it just so I could get higher if needed more than anything. Also, they were out of stock for a while so I wanted to get the extra now in case I find out I need it later.

I looked at the Loggy Predator series as well and the thing that I didn't like was that the seat didn't have any adjustment. Then again they were $110 when I looked at them as well. $69.99 is a hell of a deal.
