My new Ruger .257 Roberts

    It's a Ruger M77 Hawkeye and I put a Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40 scope on it. I got this in remembrance of my dad cause he aslways talked about a .257 Roberts but never got one.

    Very cool, I love the M77's and really like that .257! What are you planning on shooting for bullet weight and type?

    Great little gun and cartage.

    I have .257 Roberts in a Ruger M77 ultra light and I love it. what are you planing on shooting out of it? I hand load mine, but a great factory load for it is the Federal Premium 120gr NP, its a +P load and super

    great reason to get the rifle!!!! my pops has talked about a lot of stuff in his life that he would never get for himself and a few things i've thought about buying him just for that simple fact. thanks for sharing

    good choice, the sst works great at 2700-2900 mark . .257. I loaded that same bullet for a 25-06 and it came apart a bit but in the .257 Bob it works great.


    Also, if your mostly using it close dont discount the 117 round nose corlok, I killed a LOT of deer with that load, right around 2600FPS, I bought a dozen boxes once for cheaper then I could have bought unprimed new brass...

    Great pleasant shooting round that does the job with little fan fare....Enjoy it!!

    Very nice rifle! I need to talk with my step father and find out more info about the 257 Roberts I used back in the early
    80's to find out who made it.
