Germ, the first 6 gallons of gas yielded just over 43 mpg. Mostly open road... and I was sticking the spurs to the hamsters under the hood pretty good. So, it's beating the estimates. Yesterday I went up to Chicago and back, hauling Kendall and 115lbs of soybeans. I drove home sans soybeans and Big K... but in a torrential downpour. It was like driving through an 80 mile long puddle. The PriusV cut through the standing water like a champ but I'm sure I took a hit on fuel efficiency. I'll have numbers when I buy gas again. Vito, at one point on the drive home, I had another prius behind me and behind it was another eco-weenie toyota. We were our own little convoy rolling through the night.... Sticking together through multiple lane changes and exits. At this rate, I'll be fully assimilated into the clique by the end of next week.
I think the Obama sticker comes with the Volt, not the Prius. O's adminstration and Toyota don't seem to like each other very much. :D
It would be hard to produce my non-gmo, organically grown soybeans from a condo. Birkenstocks.... maybe.
Outsorce it to Vietnam or China or Mexico or some place. LOL I still can't get over it... Christine with a yuppy girly ride.
At least have a maglite hanging from the rear view mirror before we lose all fear of... eeerrrr.... respect for you !! Tim
Doubt your wife would take em out of her mason jar THAT easily. Then again, maybe you should ask her?
If I go that route, I'll ask Amy for them. The TDI is actually a bit smaller, doesn't get better mpgs and has a much lower reliability rating. Tho' it is slightly cheaper, more powerful and not quite as weird looking. TDI and PriusV
