67sq ft of cargo space... I could cram a deer in there. :deer:

Off roading might be a challenge.

Mostly this is going to be my egg-trafficking/produce delivery vehicle for my weekly (ugh) trips to chicago. (320 miles) Big Blue gets a 11-14 mpg on those trips (14 if I find a semi to draft behind). The Mitsubishi Endeavor gets 19-22 mpg (but that's Kendall's vehicle and I hate to beat it up on him). This is supposed to get 40 mpg highway/44 mpg city. So far I've driven over 200 miles on less than half a tank of gas. (12 gallon tank) And I wasn't babying it.

I have to get some sort of rednecky stickers for it. I already had a hippy-looking dude smile and wave at me.

Sticker like this would blend right in on a rig like that :-)

Not yet, but I could have run over a muskrat last night. LOL.
I will say that it will be awhile before I put any fish barrels in it.

Bruce, should I get the stick family decals?

Say it ain't so. Say it ain't so. That's a yuppie rig. Nope, no off roading and no bogging. Just use it to go to the salon and get your nails done. Tsk Tsk Tsk.

I just bought a new focus. You could easily put a deer in the truck actually. It should give me quite a bit more hunting budget.

You should be able to do better than that on fuel. My boss has one and when up behind a semi he can get upwards of 50. The other day I drove dead on the speed limit and was very careful on acceleration and I got 43.8

This is much better than the 20 my car was getting.

On a mini-van? That would be too :dan:.

Never thought I'd see the day where Christine would own (much less drive) a mini-van!

    It's not a minivan!!!! It's a miniwagon.. ha

For the record, so far this vehicle has hauled two guns, two pipe wrenches, 80lbs of salt and TWO packages of bacon jerky. Hardly the stuff of yuppies. ;)

@$4.00 a gallon, driving to my hunting spot with the 3/4 ton truck cost me about $40.00. The Chevy also has 180,000 miles on it and hence, mechanical issues. Minor ones so far (knock on wood) but if I can get to my hunting spot for $11.50 instead of $40... and in a vehicle that has a 100K bumper to bumper warranty and free maintenance for 48K..... well, I'm going to go hunting a lot more.

Maybe I need some Realtree camo vinyl along the bottom 1/4 of it? Wait, I have a Nugent for President sticker! :D

I'm truly sorry to see what these bad economic times have driven you to, maybe with the election of Romney this country will get back on the right economic track and once again you can afford to proudly drive a pick up.
