About 3 months ago I started hitting the gym pretty hard and completely changed my diet. Cut out all fast foods, most refined carbs and started eating a lot more fruits/veggies and good proteins. Been able to drop about 15 lbs so far, I feel a LOT better (more energy) and have been making some decent improvements in strength as well.

In any case, I've been searching for a healthy drink that I can have which doesn't involve me either using my blender or mixing up some sort of powder. A few weeks ago I stumbled across this. It's made w/Soy protein, Chai tea and some vanilla. It's delicious and with no artificial/refined sugars its pretty healthy too. Trouble is, it's 160 calories per 8 ounces so you have to watch how much you're consuming. Still a pretty good break from water. :tu:

thats looks interesting i have been really big into dieting and hittin the iron the past few years and i usually just drink water because i have no problem with it and if not i like lipton diet green tea but i rarely drink anything other than water

    where can you find this?

my only concern is the amount of soy protein, i have read that to much protein from soy can raise estrogen levels which obviously wouldnt be an issue unless it surpasses your bodies ability to produce testosterone but i dont know how much of that is speculation...

Around here most of the major grocery stores are carrying it now. I have picked it up both at Super Target and Wal-Mart as well as our local chain (Jewel/Osco).

I usually have about a glass a day, nothing too drastic. Hopefully the soy protein won't make my man boobs grow any bigger! :D

Pretty sure propel powder , mixed in with a pint of water is 5 calories.

160cal/8oz is a LOT. How much protein in that concoction/serving? How many carbs?

    Justin:

Check the nutrition info. for 1% milk (plain). It's a much better option.

Let me start by saying that the following links will be looked at by some as controversial. The doctor in the videos is someone that changed my Wife's life after visiting nearly a dozen doctors over three years. My wife suffers from Hashimoto Thyroid Disorder and he is the only one that could treat her symptoms and get her T-4 levels moving in the right direction. Part of the issue for her was a diet high in Soy that she thought was benefiting her. Without Soy she has seen her T-3 and T-4 levels dropped. Soy is also linked to some cancers. Here is some great viewing from good ole Mercola;)

Good deal on the lifestyle change. It is crazy how much more energy you can have by cutting out processed foods & refined sugars. I NEVER have that afternoon slump in energy anymore.

As far as that Bolthouse stuff, I was into that a while ago, then kind of got away from it for no real reason. It was very tastey! I may have to pick up another bottle as a treat.
