Huck and the 2012 elk hunting gang, "Good Luck" to you all. Have a safe and fantastic time stalking the Colo elk. Looking forward to hunting reports and photos from you all. HH in Pa : )
The entire area where these photos were taken and our elk camp has been located for 30 some years is on fire. Only thing to hunt there now is charcoal. I feel sick.
Cowboy or Afflicted or Huck or anyone: Would anybody be willing to offer a story on the 2012 Pando Colo elk hunt results and friendships and animals harvested from the hunt this fall. I know one muley doe was taken and there were several close opportunities on elk. Maybe you guys are still traveling home or getting rested up from your trip, as it ended Sunday. Looking forward to your stories, always a good read and photos. Thanks in adavnce, HH in Pa
HH I will gladly post up pictures and a story once I get a chance. I hope to be able to put them up this weekend Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2
Looks awesome man!! I hope to make a trip like that one day....I would just like to enjoy all the beauty of God's creation.....Looks like you were right in the middle of it...
Cowboy: Thank you for the reply, as Schultzy said, " Looking forward to it", and thank you for your time and effort ! : )
I would have it done but my internet connection sucks out here lol hoping to go to a relatives this weekend so I can upload the pictures. I didn't get as many as I'd liked to of everyone but enough to get an idea of camp, the terrain, and some of the great people hunting.
JJD Sorry to hear of your loss of huting ground. You must be near the Wenatchee area. I have friends there and they lost there elk camp in the last uprising of the fire. The good thing is the forest will regenerate and within 3 to 5 years you will have excellent hunting again due to the new growth. I have seen the recovery at Mt St Helens, and the elk have returned in great numbers. Good luck in a new hunt area this year.
I'm working on my video of the hunt now so stay tuned guys. Really great time and it will definitely make it an annual hunt for me.
