Had an MRI done yesterday on my knee to see what all the swelling and pain was about. Doc called a while ago and said I had a torn Medial Meniscus in my right knee. Go to the doc's Fri to see what course of action to take.

Once the bad cartilage is removed the healing will begin Rick. My left knee has been bothering me off and on the last three months. I believe I have some scar tissue/crud in my knee from previous injuries. It actually hurts pretty good today. I wish you luck.

Going in for operation on Wed for the same thing. This is the second time for the same knee. Not a bad thing- I watched them do it on the T.V. the last time it was scoped.

Good luck Rick. Hopefully they can go in and clip out the problem. I had one done about 10 years ago and I was up shooting pool and drinking beer 3 days later.

I've had both of my knees scoped. If you had it done in the past you'll be surprised to see how much better they have gotten at it. My right knee was scoped in 99 and my left knee in 2007, it was like night and day how much better and quicker the recover time was.

No I don't believe I said that. I go to the Orthopedic Dr. Fri. We will make a decision then on how to repair it.

I injured my knee back in my early 20's (college soccer on astroturf)... it didn't heal on its own either... ended up getting it scoped in my early 30's, shoulda had it done right away, between the injury and the fix >10yrs went by and because of it I got to where I was no longer exercising and gained a lot of weight because of it... now i'm tryin to shed those pounds and its a lot harder now than then... i used crutches for about a day afterward, used a cane for a week as a safety precaution, was back playing soccer within about 2 months... and felt great about it...

I will do whatever is called for to fix it right. Don't want a temporary fix and end up later having to do it right. I opted for the radiation seeds for my prostate cancer back in Jan instead of holding pat and see if it expanded. Fix it now, don't do a temp fix is my way of thinking.
Thanks everyone for the well wishe's.
