I did the same with turkey fryer and canning pot. About 3 - 4 hours Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ive done two skulls in a Canning pot and turkey fryer here also. Skull #1 ended up getting left on the wood pile and sun bleached. Skull #2 was left with the natural look. If I were to decide to whiten skull #2 I would likely cover with paper towels soaked in peroxide. Freshen it up occasionally and be done with it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Here is the product that I have been using for 25 years Soda Ash, commonly called Sal Soda, is used to dissolve meat, fat and grease when boiling skulls and antler plates. Simply add Soda Ash to boiling water and immerse the skull or antler plate As the water boils, turn the heat low, simmering, keep an eye on it otherwise it will boil over. Use a coffee cup per a gallon water Here is the link https://www.mckenziesp.com/Skull-Bleaching-C2025.aspx
