I thought you guys might like to see the results of one of my off season projects. Yeah, I like Predator camo. ;-)

It took me longer than expected with taping and hand painting the limbs on, but I'm pretty happy with it overall and it kept me out of the wife's hair.

For the blocks of color in the pattern, I just used the Ultra Flat Camo paint from Krylon. For the black limbs, I just bought a small can of flat black and used a 1/4" brush to apply them and the leaves.

Honestly the most time consuming part was masking up the stand and blocks of color. The limbs were the fun part. Just winged it and started putting them here and there, a leaf here, a split here.

    Awesome job!

That reminds me that I need to get busy on painting my stand too. I need to do it now so that new paint smell will wear off.

Thats exactly why I did mine as soon as I could get time. One thing I noticed was that this spray paint seems to dissipate a lot sooner than some. I've also read that if you put fresh paint out in direct sunlight, the UV or whatever will break down the chemicals that produce the smell and kill it a lot sooner.
