THAT is flippin slick! I'm officially inspired! I'm working on plans to build a new house and machine shed and I'm definitely going to be using that as a reference for a mancave!
Apparently is some sort of hand carved something, that definitely wasn't my idea. It's going to be "temporarily" taken out of there
We ordered the safe room from a welding shop from west of us, but it was custom built for where we wanted to put it. They welded up the door and had the vent holes already cut into the sheet metal before they got here, and also had everything cut to length. They hauled a portable welder out here and welded everything inside the house. The only thing I don't like is that the shelter is only 5'11 1/2" tall, and the door is only 5'9" tall. I think the top of my head is flat now
The shelter is one of my favorite parts. Definitely very cool. Is it fire rated (I may have missed that part)?
I'm not even sure to tell you the truth. They recommend 14 gauge metal for an F5 tornado, and this shelter is made from 10 gauge sheet metal.
Functional and extremely livable. Nice work. Always satisfying to do the work and see the final results turn out so well!! Now if you could kill a few bigger bucks next time you might have something!
There's a 150 0/8" and a 177 6/8" mount missing in those pics. I'll try and step up my game next season
That looks awesome! I have an unfinished basement at my cottage and that is almost exactly what I have had in mind for it for the last few years.
