I will definitely agree that he was full of BS on a lot of topics... I guess I was basing what I said off some of the harsh responses in this thread. Just seemed like everyone took it too far because they had a different opinion than him. To each their own.
Martin at least had beliefs he didn't go with the herd, this place needs a contrary belief. Wish he would have not gave up, at least go out with a ban.:p
He needed to move along to a political forum. We all get along fairly well when we leave politics out of it and stick to hunting related topics...which are actually intended for this site in general. I always got baited into posting in his threads too when I should have just let it go and moved along. It's a little sad to read through this thread and see others having trouble letting it go though...
True I too do not have the time to hate either. I got along with the guy even if he was religious. I know too that I ruffle some feathers but heck I am not going to give up, Tony offered me some good advice and we all know what a Richard he is.
I thought I was the only one who hated this guy..but then again I never clicked on anything that he posted so I must have missed all of the criticism
Come on... This is the water cooler. A place for all non hunting related topics and a place he liked to post in the most. I don't want to sound like the "weak guy" or the "outsider" but for so many people to just hate on him for having a different opinion/thought than them is childish to me. Pretty sure I disagreed with every post he made... But what a guy has strong opinions for that I don't, doesn't mean I should hate him and make comments like some have. /endrant Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think you misunderstood what I was saying there in that post. I too thought it was a little sad how folks were piling on in his final post thread, that's actually what I meant. I didn't see the posts where he came off as a know it all or blowhard. I just saw a guy posting a lot of politically polarizing stuff and little that actually fit on a site that is largely like 99% hunting related. Lol, I was one of the folks that happened to agree with him most of the time. His posts didn't bother me at all and while this is the water cooler portion of the forum...anyone that surfs the net, inhabits forums or even just casually runs a business in the world, knows that beginning a discussion on politics is going to lead to a polarizing conversation to say the least. If one is in company of those who share your political beliefs then it's fine...otherwise it is likely they are just trolling for an argument and shouldn't get scared or run off angrily when the opposing POV raises an exuberant challenge. Many of us strongly disagree with other members views on political topics but most of the time we seem to just leave it at that and carry on as usual rather than posting thread upon thread of it. I'm just saying if a guy can't get his one track mind off of political crap then a bow hunting forum is not the proper place to hang out...a political forum is. Kind of a "right time, right place" sort of thing.
Yep... Definitely misunderstood it! My apologies. I don't know... Just having a hard time understanding how people can feel so strongly against another because he has different views than them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
