Well folks, I know I don't know that many people around here, but i've been trying to post some, and give some good info. I was about to go hunting today when I found that my recurve, one of the limbs is broken. I can't afford to buy another bow because i'm the only one working while my wife goes to college, and mine is out of warranty date. heres a picture of what it looks like, so dumb. Uploaded with ImageShack.us I hope everyone else has a good season. See you guys next season.
Is there anyone you know who has a bow you could borrow. Sometimes I have sold things on craigslist to come up with some quick cash. Sorry to hear about that. good luck coming up with some solutions.
Nope. Only person I know is my father in law and he uses his quite often. I'm trying to come up with things to sell now on craigslist/ebay.
I have an OLD PSE Fire Flight Express that has sat in its box for years not being touched. Wish you were closer I would let you have this one for cheep! I bet shipping would cost more than what the bow is worth.
Try and get ahold of phillip his username is GAbowhunter, I'm sure he will see this post, he might be able to throw you some ideas or help since he too is from georgia.
I have a Fred Bear Vapor 300 that is 3 years old that I'd sell to you cheap. If you're interested and a righty let me know.
Good news everybody. After an hour of talking and heckling, Martin is sending me new limbs. Apparently one of the first batches of limbs for this bow had "defects" in them, with people reporting similiar things. Anyhow, I spoke with the the sales director or something and he said he was sorry, and then offered to send new limbs. So my limbs will go out monday and I should get new ones within the week. Thanks to everybody who offered to help. I will pm u GA.
Good news! That is great! Now you will be back in no time. I would get a new string while your at it then you all new!
Well I just bought a string, and I didn't even get to string it! Anyhow, this sucks, it's supposed to be the peak of the rut, and now I don't even have a bow to hunt with! I refuse to take a gun!
wow, that started out real crappy, but ended fine. glad you straightened things out. by the way, how do those martin take downs shoot? was looking at them as a "travel" bow.
I was going to suggest that you call and talk to someone at Martin. Most of the manufacturers are pretty good about taking care of people on stuff like this. Glad to hear they fixed you up.
Good to see a company back they product and customer. Hats off to Martin. Now hope you get to enjoy your hunt
