Our new dog, MF Jones, loves to tag along in the woods with me when I check trail cams.

Nice looking dog. Question though, I assume you made that water hole? I would like to do something like this and I currently have a small plastic bin burried in the ground but I hate the unnatural look. If you did this yourself is it as simple as shovel work or did you have to put something down to help it hold water?

The water hole has always been there but it wasn't as big as it is now. During the drought of 2012, it basically dried up except for a 2 foot diameter mud spot. I then took my tractor and scraped it out even bigger. It seems to have a small spring under it because it is always wet. If we get normal amounts of rain it stays full all the time. I'm going to start raking the leaves and debris out of it each spring.

Dogs are great friends and helpers. Zeus helps me skin my deer and he's getting good at it.

    Great looking dog Greg.

I put In two water holes like yours by scraping out depressions last week.
