If WW3 broke out and America had to draft young men to go to war tomorrow, if you think that the American public would bear down and make sacrifices at the level they did during WW2 you are kidding yourself.
We have all those patriot gun owners who drive with the flag on the back of their truck though All kidding aside we can't even get folks to stay out of bars or simply wear a mask, so I agree
Yeh I know every generation prior to the current one has had it tougher.. But there is a reason there was a book written "The Greatest Generation" Tom Brokov . Look, today's average 20 something male is a skinny jean wearing, soft hand, hair gel, metro sexual that couldn't care less about what great men like my grandfather did to preserve there right to march in a parade or protest.. I go back in my hole now
What % of 20 males are marching in these protests? It's less than 1% or even .5% I bet. It's going to be okay, some of the best advice I have gotten is from my grandfather and one was this "Jr sometimes you just have to take a step back and let folks fall on their face and not get involved". I am sitting here watching Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, and others fall on their face and when their whacky ideas don't work, well I'll just chuckle.
I would say quite a few in their 20's Germ. And even more in their 30's. Mostly white kids that have been bored out the ass for 5 months. Eveyone these days seems to think they have to leave a footprint in history to be important. Many of them just are not satisfied with what the Lord has given them...
Yeah, people getting murdered, cities getting looted and burned to the ground....... that's some funny ****.
I had no idea how far Minneapolis has fallen when a guy from Michigan who has Detroit as an example looks down on Minneapolis.
Saw an idiot yesterday driving a rusted chevy s10 pick up with an American flag mounted to a hockey stick in back. This was not out in the country either.
Remember Detroit went through this in 1967, that's why the people stood up and said no in Detroit to this nonsense. I have a saying "you get what you vote for". This is how these cities voted. If I were in police and had the means to leave I would. This is what's going to happen to Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis, and others. The tax base will go away when the people with the means leave, and you're screwed as a city. I agree with Va on many points, it's not the end of the world. It's going to be a hard lesson for some folks in those cities and yes I chuckle at that, do I chuckle about innocent people losing their business and perhaps their lively hoods, no.
So to my point- with the exception of the Carter presidency; almost the entirety of your life has occurred during the period of greatest peace and prosperity in the nation's history.
