I'm new here. Just wanted to show off a awesome hunt I had in Florida this past march. I figured since were out of season there's a lack of dead buck porn. So ill add a little love lol All kills were taken with my xpedition archery Xring 7. I strongly recommend guys try this bow.
Ya I had a horseshoe up my arse that week. They said I was only second guy in there 15 years of guiding to get in bow range for a water buffalo. For me that was 40 yards in the thick jungle. I wasn't getting any closer then that lol The axis buck apparently from what they were saying is one of the toughest deer species to hunt especially with bow. Super skittish and very easily pushed into being nocturnal. They told me I would now never appreciate how tough it is to get a buck like that because I did get very lucky. Although the night I harvested the buck couldn't have been better conditions. My first day at the camp was incredible storms. Nothing some cold ones and a porch couldn't fix. Second day I was out there when another crazy storm came through. I weathered it in tree stand which probably wasn't very bright. But lightning was very few and very far away. But the wind and rain was something I've never seen in Ontario. And I sat in a tree that was swinging like a leaf lol it was only a couple minutes. Once it stopped it was only 15 or so minutes until lights out. And animals were coming from every direction. Hogs, white tails and axis deer. It was like they were just starving and wanted to hit this plot. And when I saw that buck he was eating the antlers were almost scratching his a$$. I figured that's a good one lol.
That axis is cool looking. Sounds like a great hunt. Thanks for the pics while everyone is waiting for fall.
