...... without the green gop scent away. Had to go to dinner last night and it was the first time since opening day of bow I took a normal shower. Felt weird, like I was pouring acid on my skin:lol:

If you were to shave all of your body hair, including eyebrows, and continue using the green gop (?) scent away year round, you won't have that problem. :)

I use Dove scent free every day. I put on my Curve maybe once a week if my wife is lucky. She asked me a few weeks back why I haven't been wearing it. I told her it was because the deer. She just laughed and went on.

Why haven't you killed anything yet, or did I miss it? You are one of the people around here that I expect to kill a good deer every year. Don't be a disappointment.

I'm with Stick on this one. Use the Dove Scent Free Soap instead of the green oil stripping green poop soap. "Once you go white, you will never go back!"....that is Dove soap I am speaking about.

I too wear Curve as a cologne but I would never dare wear it during the season. It will get in your hair.. on your clothes.. be carried in your vehicle for days.

For me.. once its season.. I don't play around with scent control.. it makes no sense to sit in a tree waiting for a deer if all your doing is letting him in on a little secret - that you are in the woods. My limited time is to valuable to waste.

With that said.. I went back to regular soap and Curve after I tagged out a while back.. and I enjoy going back to being a human again... I understand your plight NY.

My time Is valuable too. Allot of my hunts have been right after work. I smell like milk, sweaty feet, etc. I've been smelled while deer have been down wind. I've not been smelled when deer have been down wind. How clean/scent free you are to me don't matter as much as I once thought after seeing 1st hand the last couple years. To me the biggest factor Is scent on the ground or what you touch. I wore rubber boots more this year then any other year and will do this much more In the coming years.

I use dove scent free too, year round. I have some dry skin issues, and it's the only soap that doesn't cause issues. I used the "scent free" soap once this year, but then I decided I'd just use the dove. I use the green goop as shampoo, however. I wore curve a decade ago or so, one of those classic scents. I wear Aqua Di Gio now though, and have for probably 10 years. I still get the "you smell good" comments from random women when I wear it, so I usually only wear it when I'm with the Fiancee. :D

My wife hates the scent freeand earth scent soaps but it does work for me anyway my one buddy thinks it's all hype but I have bagged 5 deer this year to his 0 deer year he'll wash his clothes but then hangs them up in the garage where they park their cars.even showed him a simple way gather up maple leaves set pile on fire stand in the smoke all dressed for hunting and down south in Florida it's pine needles same thing. But hunting is limited time so I do what I can to make the best of it.but when I wash my clothes I also wash driving clothes to wear after the shower and even was some bed sheets to cover my truck seats then if I sweat going to stand I have a clean shirt ready to change into and sweaty shirt goes into 2 ziplock bags.maybe overkill but works for me never been winded and had deer run off from scent.movment different story.but I take alot of care hiding my scent and has not failed me yet.

Yeah I know the feeling. While I really enjoy good fragrance, that's the biggest downer for me is the no cologne or my green tea cucumber dove soap. I use the green goop all season with Arm and Hammer scent free deodorant. I washed out a old softsoap handwash bottle and filled up the green goop on my sink for washing up after daily use. Works well since those large bottles you have to keep tipping over, what a pain!

Try having long hair and using any of the scent free soaps.

Last couple of deer I've killed, I used my pantene instead of the scentblocker soap. Go figure.

The day I whacked my doe, I was wearing curve and she came from down wind. Now she did have her nose in the air but, she came in anyways. I don't have to drive anywhere to hunt. that day was one of tose unexpected last munute hunts. The night before I had panned to hunt something came up so I had in mind I wasn't going to hunting so I wore curve to school. Plams got canceled last minute and I was able to hit the woods. The wind was supposed to be right according to scoutlook so I didn't take a shower. Turns out Scoutlook screwed me again. The wind changed 20 min before she came my way. I am normally careful with scent control but, if its going to happen its going to happen.
