    hey, i was wantin to get a recurve bow but im not sure what brand or weight i should get cuz i plan on huntin with it.

    If I were you, look for a older 45# Bear Grizzly, great starter bows that are true work horses and will kill any whitetail on the planet! I'd look for a1960's one, you'll find them for under $175. Keep an eye on tradgang.com's classifieds.

    I just got a kodiak Magnum. It really is cool. I had been looking at one for years and Finally got into one.
    There are soo Many choices out there. Browse Craigslist too and see what you can find. 45lbs is about right

    Yea, you can't beat the old Bear recurves to learn on. Another good unsung one are the old Ben Pearson Cougars which is my sons preference. Don't go too heavy for yourself for the first one. You may even want to start with 35-40#''s.
