I moved from southeast Nebraska to central Montana last year. I couldn't hunt last fall because I wasn't here long enough to buy resident tags, so I just lived through everyone on the forum. The gal who teaches in the room next door to me and her husband have 200 acres on the Yellowstone River. They don't really hunt so they gave me permission for the archery season. I checked your trail cams today, and this is what I found. I took a lot of does in Nebraska, but the public land I hunted on only had one good buck that I saw in the nine years I hunted there. I'm looking forward to September 3.
If you can hunt that early, you will probably catch them still in their summer feeding patterns. You just might get one in the velvet. Good luck! Blessings........Pastorjim
